Do you love it or do you just go along for the ride?Do any of you wives go deer hunting with hubby?
Yes I love to go and pee in the woods. LOLDo any of you wives go deer hunting with hubby?
No I don't go deer hunting with my husband but I do take care the trail cameras out so I can tell him where the tree stands need to be, I help him put up the stands and my husband is color blind so I help him track the deer. We have a few nice bucks on the wall in the family room. I don't go with him to hunt because I have ADD and its kinda hard for me to sit still. He says he likes the quiet time by himself and that the things I do for him for hunting lets us enjoy time together.
I don't support the killing of animals not eaten as food. We have no desire to kill or skin deer and hack it up...so, NO WAY!
I'm fine to go watch him do some skeet shooting but I m soooo glad I did not marry a hunter because NO, I would not tag along for that.
I use to go with my ex because we both had that in common! I love to hunt, my hubby now don't go hunting so I go with out him with my dad or friends!!! If he did want to go I would go with him!
No I cant say I do. Not much deer hunting out here in Southern California where I live.
my husband likes to go deer huntin, personally not my deal so i just let him go along...
Hell no! That is just animal cruelty.
no but we ride dirt bikes and fish together
i don't go with my man--i just go %26amp; LOVE IT! :)

What are the historical reasons for whale hunting?
I need help with my whaling project. Can anyone give me some info or a good website to go on?What are the historical reasons for whale hunting?
there were varied reasons for whaling, depending on who was doing the hunting.
Northern peoples, like the Aleut and Inuit did whale hunting for survival, and used every part of the whale, for food, and whatever else could be done with it.
Other nations hunted whales to use for meat and things like ';whale oil'; for lighting. That was whaling, or the whaling industry. A completely different level, different scale. Beyond mere survival. Here are a few sites to get you started.

http://www.animalliberation.org.au/whale鈥?/a> this one mentions some of the uses of whales that were hunted--and Japan is the one country that actually used the meat for consumption, (other than northern peoples) according to this site, something I did not know.

Food, oil and bone for making tools, weapons and ornaments.
Sperm whale oil has very interesting and excellent lubrication properties that weren't duplicated by products available from petroleum distillation until, perhaps, 30 years ago.

Whaling dates back to at least 6,000 BC. whaling has caused many whales to become endangered. Most reasons whaling was done is because for the meat for food, Skin for clothing, fat for oil, and bones for utensils.eye make up

If you were going on a safari hunting trip what gun would you bring?
No stupid stuff like an AK or a LAW!If you were going on a safari hunting trip what gun would you bring?
mrs death makes a good choice.
Generally anything under 375 H%26amp;H calibre and power(and 400cal in some places) is illegal for safari hunting if you include thick skinned game, though concessions are made for people who use the 9.3 calibres well. Of course once you are over there the guide might let you use what you want.
generally though the most common choice is the 375 H%26amp;H bolt action and more powerful elephant guns(450, 500,577 cal etc) are a matter of personal preference.
The ideal requirements for a bullet to kill thickskinned dangerous game are considered a velocity of 2000fps or more and a bullet with a sectional density of .300 or more, and once again calibres over 375 or 400. This prevents most of the handgun and lever action catrdiges being used since their bullets are much shorter for calibre, thereby, all else being equal give much less satisfactory penetration than a rifle.
The lighter and faster 'elephant guns' such as the 375, 375/404, 416 wby etc are better all round choices if smaller game will be taken with the rifle too. Such as lion or antelope species at longer ranges where you need better trajectory.
My own choice would be a 585 nyati based wildcat, not because I needed that much power, but because I worked on the developement of one of these calibres and would like one day to see them in action on big game.If you were going on a safari hunting trip what gun would you bring?
A .338 Win mag with a Leupold 6x.
On the light side a 375 H%26amp;H @4265 /4340 muzzle energy and a step up a 375 Rem Ultra Mag @5041/5073 muzzle energy. Next the 416 Rem Mag @ 4262/4935/5115 muzzle energy, 416 Rigby @ 5115 ME w/410gr. SP/FMJ
Now the BIG 45s, 458 Win Mag @ 4740/5031/4620/4712 ME, 458 Lott 5873 ME.
For me the 416s from Remington work just fine.
I'm thinking the 375 ruger for DG
(a shorter action 375 H%26amp;H or so I read )
a 35whelen for non DG plains game
I think both are interesting
I would bring a CZ 550 in .416 Rigby, or .458 Lott
My latest project on the loading bench has been 9.3x62, so I'd have to take it. For larger game, I think it's way cool that the 450/400 3'; is back in commercial production, and I know where I can get my hands on a Martini so chambered, though I dream of a double.
A little like asking:
I'm going golfing, which club should I take ?';
depends on what you're after- only one target or perhaps
a secondary choice as well [ antelope and zebra, for example.]

Can you recommend someone reliable for organized hunting trips?
Some friend asked me to research and more specifically for larger game (bears, deer, bisons etc)
They have foreign hunting and gun permits, so they will need to hire riffles here too.
Can you recommend a good place.
I am looking at the state of Montana in particular, but don't know who to contact.
Do you know of some good company that does these trips?
thank you very muchCan you recommend someone reliable for organized hunting trips?

When is it okay to go job hunting?
Well it's about 3 o'clock now and I want to go get some applications. Is it better to go early in the day? I go to school so that is not really an option. Or it is better to go weekdays after school rather than on the weekends?
Thanks. When is it okay to go job hunting?
what kind of school..high or college...most people go first thing in the morning..late in the day the employers are getting ready to go home and finishing up the days work..if you are just getting applications then that is cool..you can usually pick them up at the front windows or some are laid out on countersWhen is it okay to go job hunting?
