Agencys should be banned from the normal job hunting sites. what do you think?

many of the adverts are false, just to get you on their books.

you look on a website or newspaper online page and bloody agencys are all over it with their fake jobs.Agencys should be banned from the normal job hunting sites. what do you think?
Sorry Krissy (above) but I believe the question has come about because the whole process of applying via the web is (surprisingly) slow. In many cases applications are not answered and I don't believe it's just because you don't fit the criteria. What else can you do but read corruption into it?

The reason why the jobs may appear to be fake is likely because agencies are very poor at updating and maintaining their websites. Or maybe they bite off more than they can chew, uploading and uploading jobs, things get out of hand. The abundancy of jobs arouses suspiscion. Repeatedly, they don't reply...

Reminds me of dating websites... Think about it, when a dating websites start off, who are their first customers? In theory, a brand new website should start off with one genuine customer, all alone. Would this generate custom..? No chance. Or where could you get more people from, to make it seem a more buzzing and interesting website? I've never seen it... I've never seen a brand new website say 'register for free' (the 'day-one-theory'), to get things moving.

They have to start off with fake profiles to get the ball rolling. Eventually, the websites become somewhat 'purified' with genuine people registering. But when business gets low, they just drag up the fake profiles to entice more custom.

The web is perfect for deception in all forms and the people behind those agency (and dating) websites can't prove against these claims.Agencys should be banned from the normal job hunting sites. what do you think?
There is a local agency in the town that I live in. Their window is full of job vacancies, yet, when my son was out of work and signed with them, each time he called he was told it was a quiet time and there wasn't any work available. I think they should be banned, they're a waste of time.
They are not fake jobs, the adverts would not be false because of the trade descriptions act, they can advertise any jobs that are on their books, some are multiple jobs, some maybe jobs under offer with an applicant, but may have simular jobs coming in ( they would know that), they to have to abide by the law

Edit- wos wong, could be right I have been out of recruitment for a while, but they still cannot mis-lead the public, well shouldn't, if they do then they should be reported.

Edit- check out the web site, there are more at the bottom.

I work for an agency %26amp; they are not fake jobs. The problem arises because of the time between the job coming onto our books, advertising it, people applying etc. Most times the client has already been sent CVs from candidates already registered. My advice would be to register before you check out the jobs then when you see one you fancy you can be put forward for it immediately. Also, if you are already registered the agency can let you know of suitable jobs as soon as they become aware of them.
I haven't found that they advertise false jobs. I am with an agency and always get really good temp jobs from them, I have not been out of a job for over 2 yrs with them.
