Is it better to have a copy of your credit report when apartment hunting?

This way you won't have multiple landlord inquiries affecting your FICO score. Is it better to have a copy of your credit report when apartment hunting?
In general an apartment complex(or landlord) will not run a credit check until you have decided that this is the one you want, and placed a deposit. So really you should not have multiple places running your credit anyways.

Now, if you think your credit is not the best you can take a copy of it. Based on that they can tell you if you might be approved or would not be approved, to save you some time.

However, once you get to the point of wanting the apartment they will want to run their own report. The main reasons being their report may be from a different company so it might give them different values. The second is fraud. With the technology today it is pretty simple to make a ';fake'; credit report that looks pretty real. Having them run their own gives them that assurance that it is a legitimate one.Is it better to have a copy of your credit report when apartment hunting?
you know i have never thought about that. well the next time i go looking for an apartment i will take my credit report with me.
They will still pull it from whoever they use anyways to make sure nothing happened since you printed it off that hurts your credit.
