A gentleman named Dr. Ken Nordberg is a hunting legend. He gave me some great advice. If when in doubt, go back to the begining. Don't make this harder than this seems.

As you walk in to the wood line you will notice silence. Gods living room. The deer probably heard you walk out the front door. I can prove this to anyone. Deer hear on a quiet day can hear you for 200 yards away. They can smell you at 500 yards away.

All of these soaps, and hi - teck gadgitry are useless.

Use BAKING SODA. Brush your teeth with it, shower with it, and buy arm and hammer scentless under arm deoderant. Put your hunting gear in a big plastic bag with leaves and fur branches.

That was most of it. But pizza cheese, garlic, or bacon, stayes in your poors for 48 hours. So stay away from that stuff too.

If you are honing in on a hot spot, locate the rub line and set up on it where it intersects the most trafic. Truethfully, if you do this right, you will hunt 1/2 day. If that.

The earlier your in your spot, the better. The more still you can become, do it. Watch for shadows, and ears flickering. What should take you ten minutes to get to your position, should take you 45 minutes. Still hunting is a Native American art that I have learned from my elders. If you are certian that you wont see anything, move 200 yards to your next plan. Johnny on the spot is also a great manover. The first thing you need to do is some real good scouting and do this now dont wait until season nears!

You dont really say the size of the woods or type of food sources you have and with this little of information the best answer will be a little vague.

Yes deer cams do help very much but they never should be your only source of scouting.During the winter spring and summer the deer will not be to nervous of your presence in the woods as it would be near season so this is a great time to locate trails food sources and travel routes. The only true way of knowing what size of bucks in your area is to see them!

Now your woods may be a staging area, bedding area,a travel through area only you can come up with the facts by scouting more and doing it properly is the key.And by the way you say the sign is if it is a small woodlot it may be one or two bucks using the woods.

A real good site to go to is True Outdoorsman Online with many knowledgable ppl there to help you out!
The reason your not seeing them is cause the bucks run at night most of the time.Put yourself a feeder and a salt block in your woods and keep watching it and you'll see some bucks. If the food is there they will stay around alittle longer and you mite beable to see one now and than.Good Luck keep watching.
It could be a number of things.

Wind..If you don't play the wind, you're better to sit on the coach. Alerting deer of your presence will send them in alert mode when they are in that area. And you want a comfortable deer. They will notice you and you will never see them.

Too much walking around and scenting the area up.

And most likely, they are using it at night, because you're doing one of the above.
seeing as how you asked this question in the fishing forum, rather than hunting,

i would suggest that you give each of the deer a rod %26amp; reel, then see what they do with them
again yahoo proves my point by putting a hunting question in the fishing section. well yahoo at least you guys are consistent in the fact that you folks do not know what you are doing.
one of the best ways i think is to throw down some apples, salt licks, and some corn.
the best way to get a look at your buck(s) is to set up a trail camera, if you can afford one. put out some corn and create a feeding area. stay as scent free as possible, wear rubber boots, wash your hunting clothes and yourself with scent free soap, use a treestand to keep your scent above ground level. set-up down wind, you can even pile a little brush and make a ground blind. then sit in it frome early evening till dark, sooner or later you'll see them. and most of all have patience.
