Candy is a great lure. After that you can make do with a net. They don't run very fast so you don't really need any heavy artillery.
A baseball bat and a net. Let's face it, they're not the quickest of game.
A Lee Enfield 303 Rifle as used by the Australian Army in that wonderfully successful campaign we call Gallipolli.
Crossbows work well on wanted babbys...

A water pistol filled with boiling vegetable oil.





That way it's both healthy, and precooked.
The bastard sword is my favored weapon against those little bastards, and they're my favorite enemy too so I deal extra damage.
